Summer has trials... Who knew?

Summer's almost over and I'm still wondering, when do I get my summer vacation?? I'm still stuck at home cleaning, ordering school books, reading school books...ukk ):

Speaking of school books... who thought of putting Frankenstein on my school reading list? I'm more than half-way through (finally) and can't standd reading it. It's not that it's bad writing--believe me, it's far from that--but I have to highlight alll these random sentences and answer 20 in-depth-think-about-it questions per chapter. All I want to do right now... is burn it. Yes. Burn it. That way I can finally use the old "the dog ate my homework" excuse!

But, I don't want to leave anyone depressed, or think that I'm depressed :P. So on the upside, even though we haven't gone on a family vacation, I've got to do fun camps like drama and volleyball, and get to hangout with my friends a lot more often than during the school year. In that way, my summer has been pretty fun in spite of no actual time away from home. (:

Oh yeah. I still want to burn Frankenstein.

Sickness and Doctor's Masks

Weellll we're all sick here. Mom has a serious sinus infection, Luke has mono, and I have pneumonia. It's a joy--really. -__- Especially since Mom might be coming down with mono too. I'm next!!! o.o

See, Mom got kind of concerned on Tuesday when she finally listened to me and found out I had such a bad sore throat that I could barely swallow. She took me to the doctor and found out I had the beginnings of pneumonia, so I got some medicine, blah blah blah. Besides the first day, I feel SO much better now, and think I'm almost 100% better.

Buuut..... Mom and Luke are still sick. Mom's been going kind of up and down--the first day she thought she would be too sick on Sunday to make the Sloppy Joes (we're having our first fellowship meal with the new mission work this Sunday), so she sent them to someone else to make. Then she felt better so she started making the salad.

Well this morning I was like super hyper and cleaning my room (don't ask how those two things mix...) and I was bringing some stuff downstairs when I look up and my mom's literally standing in the hallway with a doctor's mask on and I SWEAR TO GOD she looked like this:

Anyway, sorry for not posting that much.... I was waiting for something interesting to come up with, like when we actually started decorating the house. After seeing how everyone's feeling...I don't think we'll be able to decorate this year. :(

November!!!! Holy--wow.

Wowza, haven't posted in almost two months. :o Sorrys... my schedule's been hectic.

Weellll... what's been going on with school? I've been writing a bunch of essays, and just started a biography on Guy de Maupassant. He's just another creepy writer that has no respect for women, and whose eyesight failed during his career, causing him to go mad and attempt suicide by cutting his throat, eventually causing him to go to a private asylum where he died (not so peacefully) in July 1893. Yeah. But he's french, so I put up with it. :D (Yes, I do have only a slight obsession wi--OMG THE BLUE ON MY BROWSER IS IN THE FRENCH FLAG!!!!!) He's also a brilliant writer, soo.. two pluses. ;)

I also might get a babysitting job on Friday!! But I haven't gotten an okay yet. The parents want to go to the conference at Sovereign Grace, but they haven't decided if they can or not. So anywaysss, if I do get the jobb Julia's gonna come help out. Gonna be funn. (:

Social life? Not getting much of that, but in October I went to the fair with my bestiee (: Only pics I got were of us holding the baby chicks, though. But we rode the fireball and it was EPICSAUCE!!! <33 Ignoring the fact that I've had back problems ever since buut... it was worth it. :P


Ignoring school and the clumps of hair that fall out when I brush ;), I'm SUPER stoked this week!! Only two more weeks of school till break!!! :D :D :D SO flippin psyched !! Check out the countdown widget. ;)

OH OH OH!! ANDD during break we're going to... guess? NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!! <3 For those of you that don't know, every year we go up for Thanksgiving and stay with my cuz. :)) Had a great time last year and can't waitttt to go this year!

Obituary

We are heartbroken to announce that Nails, belonging to Lily, passed away this afternoon.

Nails served honorably as close friends to Fingers, as well as its long-distance relations; Toes. Its parents, Hands, are devastated at their loss, and are in the process of being consoled.

Nails lived a short life; only one month, and we are disheartened at hearing that the possibility of Nails continuing its journey through life has ended so abruptly.

There are rumors that Violin was to blame, for in the past it forced Hands unwillingly to control the growth of their children. Nails was their first successful child to grow up healthy and happy for an extended time, after Violin mysteriously disappeared during the summer.

Before Nails’ tragic death, it was heard that Violin had come back, and was angered at hearing Hands had disobeyed his orders, so ordered them to take care of it.

This is but mere speculation; nothing is certain as the police are still investigating. Meanwhile, let us have a moment of silence in remembrance of Nails and its mourning parents…
